The Call to Full-Time Ministry

The Mbulos were both called into full-time ministry in 1977, while pursuing a career in Electrical Engineering with Roan Consolidated Mines (RCCM, later called Zambia Consolidated Copper Mine) Ltd. in Mufulira, Zambia. In January 1978 they both entered the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (Zambia) Bible College in Kitwe, Zambia, to begin their ministry pilgrimage, which has now spanned three decades (over 30 years) of effective ministry. They were first ordained to the ministry at the General Conference of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God-Zambia [PAOG (Z)] in 1982 after a proven pastoral ministry following their graduation from Bible College in 1980.

While in Bible College, in 1979, they pioneered and planted a church in Chingola, Zambia, called Evangel Temple of the Assemblies of God, which they pastored until 1982 when they left for the USA to pursue a degree program of study. After their degree studies in Seattle, Washington, they returned to Zambia in 1984 to be the first Zambian President of TransAfrica Theological College, their Alma Mater, until 1987 when they left again for the USA to pursue post-graduate studies.

During their studies and stay in Los Angeles, which was over a fourteen (14) year period, and becoming Permanent Residents of the USA, the Lord gave them incredible opportunities in ministry. In 1991 Pastor George Mbulo was ordained by the Assemblies of God (USA) while serving as an Associate Pastor at North Hollywood First Assembly of God in Los Angeles, where he later became Executive Pastor until their return to Zambia in 2001. Pastor Beatrice Mbulo was a Pre-School Teacher from 1988 until 2001.
